Does it make grinding noises at all? Does it not go into gear sitting or while shifting on the fly? Does your clutch engage on the floor or with the pedal close to the top?

My old 86 did the same thing when the tranny cracked...but, that adjustable cable can cause the same thing. Is it adjusted all the way out? No slack

It doesnt grind at all and if you rev it up to 3500 it goes right in gear, i am pretty sure it is adjusted all the way because when you can drvie for 15 to 30 min. and it is fine but it seems as soon as something gets hot it does it

After ruling out obvious problems, adjust your cable according to the manufactureres specs, and you'll be fine.

In my opinion, it could be the clutch cable. When metal heats up it expands. Maybe your clutch cable is expanding just enough to make it ineffective in disengaging the clutch.

Your clutch should be smooth and easy to press, like a honda , even with that dual friction clutch. I have the same one on my stang. Aftermarket clutch quadrants make the pedal smooth. If the pedal is hard to push, something is up with your cable.

i talked to a couple other people about it they thougth it could be my retainer sleve that the cable slides through came loose or the welds broke. is that possible.

Not sure about a retainer sleeve having welds. Cables wear out and eventually can break, mine did. Is your clutch pedal smooth?
