AHHHH... To buy 5.0 or not to buy....
Well.. i have the opportunity to buy a 5.0...
Ive always wanted a 5.0... a trusted friend has a '88 'vert with all options. Origional owner was the local District Atty's wife.. then a older woman bought it (yep.. he knows them heh) and now he's put 2kmiles out of a total 80k on it. Someone in a parking lot muffed up the front bumper, so he replaced it (instead of repairing it) and it needs to be painted. He has a saleen wing for it.. and painting isnt a problem b/c the uncle owns a custom paint/body shop and i do all my own work.. it'll cost me ~$150 for paint. Only bad things, its AOD and speed density (mebbe not too bad). I can easily get ahold of a t5 from him for ~$200 or less, i'd need other crap im sure.. but b/c of my job parts are cheap, especially tranny parts. I'd swap. When he got it.. he put a american thunder flow catback on it (issat 2chamber?), offroad H, bbk headers, eibach springs and somethin else. It'd be a daily driver b/c i already have the big angry black lump of malignant evil that is the 'maro. Now the dilemma.. i love riding, and i have a R6 that a friend wants to buy. I love the bike.. but could get way more than enough to buy stang for it. As it is.. i rarely get to ride. Parts are cheap already.. and i get them at cost.. motorwork etc. i get supercheap from professional friends so... longterm project after big angry turbo 'maro. So.. im pretty sure what you guys'll say but what do you think? sell bike and buy 'vert stang? Suggestions? thnx Phil Jerico Performance |

I love bikes... I would never sell my Ninja. Buuut....... if you NEVER ride it, why keep it.. sell it to someone that's gonna have a blast on it (like belle, apparently ) I think you may already have your mind made up anyways!

Well, you know my vote. Although I'd keep the bike. Nothing feels as good as being on a bike, nothing!
To each thier own, but I'd get it, well maybe I would. Ey, you going to the track tomorrow? Hope to go and run, but eh, you know. |

I got to make a decision something like that with my snowmobile not too long ago. Never got a chance to use it anymore, so even though I liked it a lot, out the door it went.
Why keep something you don't use? Just my thoughts. |

Well, went and hung out with buddy and drove the stang. Its damn nice for a 13yr old car, i like it alot. Even tho its AOD it'd bark 2nd.. surprised me anyway, not too slow if ya shift yourself. I think it'd to a high 9sec 1/8th. I think imma try an get it, already got the hookup on some parts... has full exhaust so far and some nice lookin louvered saleen spoiler.
We shall see. |
