![]() Iv bin have a problem with me car starting when its hot so i changed the starter it work fine for two weeks but yesterday day i took it for a 15 mile run on the high way to go to my girlfriends house i let the car sit for like three hours go to start it and it doesn't start it rotates but will not fire up so i check to see if its getting fuel i was 45 psi so i check for spark it looked a little weak so i was thinking that might be so i try a new coil but no luck so now im really pissed because i need to get home so i call some friends so i can try to pop the clutch we want down the street i tried two times it did nothing so we tun it around and come back i tried it again but this time i held my foot on the gas at the same time and it fired up. I drove it home it ran ok but felt like it had a lose of power but i have bin having that problem too but this was a little worse but any way i get it home and go to look at it and it fires right back up so im stumped i need some things to look for any help would be great.

![]() Your handle implies your car is an 87 ?? around that time Ford made some notoriously heat sensitive ignition modules. In fact there was a big law suit over it. If its never been changed i'd change it ... even if thats not your problem right now its good insurance.

![]() Don't know much about your set-up but 45psi fuel pressure seems high to me. That won't keep you from starting unless your plugs are fouling.
Check your electrical connections for signs of corrosion. If you live anywhere that uses roadsalt in the winter it's not uncommon to get bad connections. What about the condition of the cap and rotor? Any unusual build-up or cracks? How old are your plug wires? If any of the basic tune-up parts are in question change them.
