Carb & A/C Problems

Ok, here's the setup:

1993 GT
Stock 302
Lunati .512 Lift / .288 Dur
Edelbrock Torker II Intake
Holley 650 Double Pumper
Mallory 3 Port Fuel Pressure Reguator w/ Bypass
Stock in-tank Fuel Pump
MSD 6AL Ignition
MSD Billet Distributor

Here's the problems:

First off, the car will not idle when it's cold no matter what. This I can live with, but the main problem is the idle after it warms up. I can stop at one stop sign and it might idle at 1000RPM, the next stop sign at 700-800, and another it might die trying to idle at 200. I have checked for vacuum leaks everywhere, nothing found. The idle mixture and float levels are set correctly. The fuel pressure is set at 7 PSI (I have experimented with Pressure ranging from 3-12 PSI).
I hope I have given enough information for someone to lend some help.

Problem #2, I want to keep the A/C operational since I drive 50 miles to work almost everyday. Since the Computer and Harness are gone, I am going to have to manually wire up the A/C system. If anyone has accomplished this, please let me know.

Thanks,

Brad Arnold

Problem 1:

You need to attach a vacuum gauge and see what it tells you. It sounds like you have a vacuum leak, but having a gauge installed will answer many more questions.

Problem 2:

Holley sells 3 different universal solenoids for their carbs to help with your problem. I would contact them for a specific recomendation. Wire it into your A/C controls and it will activate when the A/C is engaged, raising your idle so that it won't stall the engine.

Take care,
-Chris
