wiring the duraspark II in a 89 GT
I am fixin to swap the 302 to a 351 and swap to carb at the same time. I have read Fletch's carb'd mustang site a hundred times. http://www.jason.fletcher.net/tech/e...b/efi-carb.htm Does anyone here know exactly which wire is what on the black and grey connectors by the brake booster? I got the ignition module with the blue connectors where the wire meets the module. I am going to try to do this in a weekend (next weekend) and I was hoping that someone could just tell me which wire goes where to save me some time.

I have some schematics on the duraspark II ignition system. But I am glad you posted that, cause I like it better than the ones I have. What I need to know is what wires are what on the mustang (the ones that lead into the plugs by the brake booster). If anyone on this forum knows, please post it. tmoss, I appreciate your help.

Well, I am glad somebody thought it was funny. I actually got that idea from an old four wheeler sticker my buddy had. It said "This bike eats hondas and shits suzukis". Sig goes along with the username, obviously. I thought it was pretty creative. And when I get my 351 put in, I will have that sticker made and put on. I hate chevys so damn much, especially the slomaro. Vettes used to piss me off until I realized that everyone driving them is 50 years old.
I saw some dude on a ricer forum that probably had been here before. His username was ieatnissans. Must have been a honda man. Imagine that. Damn ricers.

Hey tmoss, you don't have a vette do you? Just kidding man. Most of the 50+ guys and gals in vettes aren't interested in racing. At least not around here. Hell, some of them don't even drive the ***damn speed limit. I have gotten some old guy in a powerstroke 3/4 ton to race me before. Fireturd is a good idea, I will remember that. Thanks for the suggestion.

No, no vette. The car before my 88 GT vert 5spd was a 67 Camaro with a 383 Lingenfelter, turbo 350, 3000 stall and 4:10s - a 12.31 NA and 11.13 car on a 150 shot with drag radials. See pic below - forgive me Ford diehards but I love ALL AMERICAN muscle.

tmoss, at least you aren't a ricer who is convinced that the 4 banger under the hood will make more power than any american v8. I will give you that much credit. Chevy did have it going on in the late 60's and early 70's, though. But, I still hate em.

Barry, I hope you got the right answers. I can't find **** on the net to actually pin point what I want to know. I got the module with the blue connectors at the module and it has the following wires on it. One plug has a white and a red wire coming out of it. This should be the two wires I need to hook up to the existing mustang harness for the start and run? The other has green, orange, purple, and black wires in that order. That should be the coil and the distributor right? Thanks.
