Cats but No Smog Pump
My smog pump on my 89 LX 5.0 is squealling bad and I think is locked up - prevents the motor from running. I have 186,000 on my cats and I would like to remove the smog pump so I can drive it where I can work on it at versus where it is sitting now. Will it's removal hurt anything if the cats are still in place? It is the stock pipe with stock cats.
This will only be a temporary solution until I can find one in a junkyard or something. I just want to make sure it will continue to run in the mean time after the removal of the smog pump. Thanks. |
