![]() can i physically take out my cam while it's in the vehicle, is there enough clearance if i remove my radiator...what would you guys recommend i do. Should i remove the front nose also? I have a 5 spd so there is no trans cooler in front of the radiator.
Also: kind of related. I'm going to put on a dual plane intake (haven't decided what yet) and have a holley 600cfm carb. What cam would you guys recommend for a decent condition 150k mile block with 600cfm Holley, stock E7TE heads, 1 5/8" shortys and 2 1/2" exhaust. I have some concerns about revving the piss out of it, so i'd like a strong mid range cam. Any ideas? Thanks |

![]() I just did my cam this weekend. First time for me, took two days, probably could have finished in one if I hadn't taken the time to clean and paint the brackets, timing chain and valve covers. You'll have to remove the radiator and whatever's in front of it. Unless you're putting in a new water pump, don't take it off the timing chain cover. I could definitely get it done in one day now.

![]() Did you have to loosen the oil pan to take off the cover or is the cover just a pull off-deal? Thanks
