Question Cheapest, Easiest way to stop rust on project vehical, sitting, exposed to elements?

My 87 notch is sitting on the driveway waiting for more funds to come in. It's probably gonna be a few more months until I can get it painted, and I don't want any further damage to be done...

Should I just Tremclad the rust, or use some anti-rust primer, or cover the area's of concern in WD-40 or grease or something?
