Low Coolant Light Keeps Coming On?
Low coolant light on dash keeps coming on. When I shut off engine and check water level is fine. Start car back up and lights off, for a while till it happen again 10 miles or so down the road.

Sounds like you have a problem with the coolant level sensor located in the plastic overflow bottle. In my 95 it is anyway.I had the same problem.Take the cap of the overflow(not the radiator cap) the overflow cap and clean the sensor looks like a straw or tube, make shure nothing is blocking the opening, make shure the water level is on the full cold or full hot line, which ever the car is hot or cold. You may have to flush if dirty .Check the connection (wires at cap) and make shure there are no leaks in the water bottle.Turns out my water level was just a little low in the overflow bottle causing the light to come on.The light resets each time you turn your ignition off/on.If the light is on,even with a satisfied sensor it will not turn the light back off.You have to turn the ignition off to reset the computer.Hope this helps.

I had the same problem with my 91GT. I put up with it for over a year and finally was sick of it, so I bought a new sensor through ford. Hasn't come on since.

I'm not exactly sure if that's a normally open or normally closed switch, but you can either unplug it temporarily or run a wire across the terminals to get the light off if it annoys you that bad. It sounds like the coolant level sensor.

Make sure your checking your coolant level at the overflow bottle and not the rad. The rad might be full, but the overflow bottle empty, thus the light when you think its full...
