Default Check Engine Light

Hey guys,

I recently had a blow out (tire) and replaced it, the next day I get into my car (in the morning) and start the puppy up go down the road a little ways and I notice (about go into shock) my check engine light blinks about 3-4 times then goes off. So I didnt pay any attention to it, then about halfway to work it goes on again about 3-4 times, then goes off.

WHAT THE HELL!? any idea ? I havnt made any modifications to the car it has 86000 miles and I still have 400 miles till my oil change. I also changed my Heater core about 2 months ago.
Let me know. I just replaced my speakers in the front with some 5 1'4 pyramids but I dont think that would have anything to do with it.

Thanks,
Abe

When the MIL (Malfunction Indicator Lamp) flashes, it's the ECM's way of telling you it detected a problem, and it wants to tell you about it. You then need to ask it what's up. This is done by running the KOEO and KOER self tests. If you are unfamiliar with this, I suggest going to your local auto parts store and spending $25 on a Ford Code Scanner. This will come with a tool that makes it easier, and instructions for exactly what you should do. Once you pull the codes, post them here and we will be able to better help you.

Take care,
-Chris
