Maybe its old and somewhat corroded on the inside. This would increase resistance. Just a guess.

I didnt think that there was a circuit breaker for the starter circuit. I thought it had a fusable link.

I think he's referring to the circuit breaker on the fenderwall starter relay.

It could possibly be the wiring for some aftermarket component (Stereo/ Alarm) is mis-wired and drawing close to the amperage limit of the breaker perhaps.
Try tracing down the wiring connected at that terminal and check the amp draw on each line seperatly, once you find which line is drawing power even when the key is switched off, try moving that lead to the lug on the positive terminal of the breaker and see if that solves the trouble

You mean the starter silenoid? Either way if its hot after the car has been sitting all night something is drawing current when it shouldnt. Is there anyway to check what the current draw on the battery is when the key is off? I think that there should only be a 1/4 to 1/2 (if that much) an amp of current draw when the key is off.

No, the relay, the solenoid itself is integral with the starter unit.

P.S. if your starter ever dies, drill out those P.O.S. aluminum star head bolts holding the case together and check the internal connections before tossing $145 to Auto Zone :D

But initialy, the car came with a small circuit breaker which mounts to the positive terminal of the starter relay.

I didnt know that. Cool.

The breaker on the starter relay controls your door locks etc. I had this same problem when I replaced the door handles on my 91 coupe. I made the mistake of damaging the wires associated with the power locks when I screwed the screws into the door panel area. This cause a short in my door locks and when I traced back the events I found the frayed wire that I caused and covered it with shrink and the problem went away at the breaker area.... Mine stayed hot until I found the short that I caused....:D
