Cleaning K&N

Is there something cheaper I can use to clean my K&N filter other than their solvent? My filter is big and filthy. I've used their stuff before and I always run out half way through the job.

I always pick up the large cleaner and oil and it does a couple of cleaning's

also just spray untill it changes back to light pink to much oil can hurt things

I agree, to much oil will cause the MAF to get dirty and mess it up. I would use what ever it took to clean it, parts cleaner, carb cleaner or electronics cleaner. Electronics cleaner is pobably the least harsh on the filter. I wash mine out with the K/N stuff the hose it, seems to work fine for me.
