I doubt it's a hydraulic clutch, but I'm not sure. If you have the stock mechanical linkage, replace it with an adjustable one. They're around $90-$100. Well worth the price. Crawl under your car and unhook the dust cover on the bottom of your bellhousing. It should have a cable hooked to the clutch fork if it is mechanical. As far as long tubes go, I have no idea. Getting the tranny out with long tubes on is probably going to be hard.

Sorry, you meant heavy duty(HD) not hydraulic. Didn't mean to insult your intelligence. http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/redface.gif

If you still have the stock clutch quadrant, make sure that the ratchet mechanism isn't stuck or broken. Some people put in new clutches but forget to reset the ratchet. As a clutch wears out, the cable gets tighter and tighter (releases farther and farther away from the floor). The stock quadrant is self adjusting and should loosen automatically. If a new clutch is put in, however, the cable will then be real loose again since the quadrant has given all the slack it can.
