Clutch Problems
On my 96 T45, it may just be a typical T45 deal, in the morning when cold I have to baby the thing until it's warmed, like hold the clutch in about two or three seconds, or else the synchros grind in every shift. Also the clutch will engage almost right off of the floor and takes a sec or so to catch until warmed up and then it doesn't engage until the pedal is about 3/4 or more away from the floor. Makes for an interesting drive. The second gear sychro is brand new because it was replaced in the rebuild of the transmission from this summer. 5th grinds every so often, cold or not, and has done so since I got the car back from the dealer. It also has a new throw out bearing, too. Could this be the clutch going out? The car has just over 53,000 miles on it. I checked the fluid level last night and it was just fine. what do you think?
