Default New Clutch Quadrant ?

Ok I installed a new clutch quadrant and adjustable cable. It was a pain to get the Claw off. I dont have my engine and tranny in yet so I have no way of testing it, of course there where no instructions.
When I took the old quadrant off there was a spring there to help keep the pedal up. Do I need to reuse that spring or will the actual clutch give me that tention?

Mine didn't come with directions either, so I had to improvise.

I didn't use the spring. Also, if you look up there you'll see a little triangle looking thing. I took that off too. Once that is removed you'll see is "long" metal bar that the triangle rested on. When you install the quatrant, slide it on the center axle part with the spacer and the end (not the claw part) with rest ontop of the metal bar. Don't forget to reinstall the clip on the end of the center axle. You don't want it to slide off.
