Cobra Intake; anyone have one?

I'm putting together a fresh engine and was going to go with cobra intake but Ford has discontinued and superceded with GT-40 part number (too expensive). Anyone have one that you want to sell. I've also seen ads for this pro-power or typhone intake. Looks like an Edelbrock but about 100 cheaper. Anyone have experience with one of these yet.

I recomend the explorer intake, you have to do just a little modifications, it's cheaper, and it works as good, maybe better than the cobra, mine is ported and outflows the cobra bye far, i love it.
jmo....
if you need egr then i forget which year intake to get.

Why not a trick flow street? Best bang for the buck!!! Out flows the cobra.

How is the trick flow street on low end torque?

For killer torque you would use the stock intake, or gt-40 style imo, but the edelbrock performer makes great torque from what i heard/read, and also gives more topend (similair to the tfs street).
With my ported explorer i still maintain strong lowend, even with the cam.

I've got a Cobra intake and I'd sure as hell sell it to you if I had enough money to replace it with another one...but I don't, so....... Lol. Seems to perform pretty well on my combo. Torque is pretty strong. Can't tell you how strong though because my tranny slips, which makes my low end seem terrible. But the car seems to run out of breath as it starts passing 5,000...a lot earlier than I expected since my cam is rated for its peak hp at 5500. So yeah, there are definitely better intakes.

I have a ported cobra that you can have for $300.00. I have run 12.40 @ 108 with it, with stock E7s, and a E cam. And 11s on the happy juice. :)

A high/flat torque curve is an indiocation that the head/cam/intake combination is done right. HP follows. My only mods are 2.5" Flowmaster catbacks and a K&N filter with silencer removed with 13° initial timing and I made 219RWHP and 290RWTQ SAE corrected (very important) and made over 250lb-ft from 2,000rpm through 4,600 rpm.
