Question Cobra lower intake question

Well, I have my engine down to a short block now, and I have a question or two. A lot of people have said to plug the 4 ports in the cobra lower intake. Is that right? Those go to and from the heater core right? Or did they just mean to make sure something goes in those 4 holes. Please help so I can get her back together soon. thanks

They're for coolant fittings, like you used to need for your EGR spacer. You don't need them. Plug 'em.

I have a cobra intake on my car, and have also been curious as to the "plug the 4 ports" info. I have been seeing. I never pluged any 4 ports, and have no idea what these people are talking about, or even if they know what they are talking about. Everything swaps over from the stock intake, and you can route the EGR coolant outlets together with a piece of hose making a run around loop, or plug these two openings. Where are the "4 ports"? I would ignore these threads and just bolt the thing on there, youll figure it out with no problem.

Thumbs down

DOH!! My mistake. My apologies if this has caused you any delay in putting in your intake. I just went outside and looked at my intake - it COMES with four plugs near each corner of the intake, one of which you have to remove for the coolant temp sensor. When I was putting mine in I removed the two on the passenger side and transferred the EGR coolant fittings over to the Cobra intake only to find I didn't need them. Sorry. Must be Alzheimers setting in early.
