Cobra R's and Nitto's...
I have decided to solve my traction issues with a set of 4 lug 17" Cobra R's and some 245zr17 Nitto DR's...
Does anyone recommed a place to get 'em? Best I've seen is around $1400 give or take. I don't want crappy knock-off rims. Thanks... |
you looking for chrome or not. I have seen FRPP Cobra R's for $600 for normal and $800 for chrome. Look at Tirerack and discount tires for tires.

Tire/wheel package?
I was kinda hoping to find a tire/wheel combo of FRPP 4 lug silver cobra r's and Nitto 555 245ZR17's.
Figured this place was the best to see if anybody had done it. I have seen the Discount tire ad and it looks okay, just looking for feedback from someone with experience. thanks... |
I am happy with my set from Performance wheel outlet. I have heard thier chrome isn't the best though. My silver wheels are fine.

Nittos...
RPM,
How do you like your Nittos? What kind of difference did it make on the street? Thanks.... |
I still have the 555's. I am getting a set of the 555r's soon. The only other tires I had on my mustang were bald 225 comp t/a's.
Going from them to my 275 nittos was a big difference. I have yet to try the drag radials. |
OK. I have 4 lug BBK 17in cobra R's with Nitto DR 275-40-17 on the back. I have had these for just over 1 year. On the street these tires kick major AAss(but not in any type of weather). On the track my BEST 60 ft is a 1.92. Which sucks ballz for a DR. Probley because there is little sidewall on them. Also, and this is just my thought, dont get the standard cobra R's. Everyone seems to have them now(When I got mine, very few did.) Try geting 2000 cobra R's or the 2002 Cobras from Performance Wheel Outlet. They are very close and will set your car off just a little better than all the rest.:D If tracton is the issue... get some Bogarts with some 315 BFG DR.

Thanks...
Thanks for the recommendation and SWEET Bill the Cat.
