Code retrieving problems
Last weekend I converted from AOD to a t-5.
As soon as I pulled it out of the driveway the check engine light came on for about 10 seconds. It came on a couple times and now doesn't turn off. When I try to check the codes as I've done many times it gives me no codes. No engine code, no pass codes, and the relays under the dash don't click. Is it because I still have the automatic computer? I only have three plugs on the pedal assembly but I noticed theres 4 harnesses(2on each side)? I just can't imagine why it wouldn't give me the codes. ------------------ 90LX Ragtop. Strut tower brace, K&N, 2.25'' Flowmasters, Hollow cats, Crank pulley, Crane 2031, Crane rockers, Holley FPR. Need Gears Bad!!! |
And I did use a harness from a 5 speed car.

Make sure the tester or jumper (single wire with a plug) is making good contact. Try holding the connectors to the scan tester and see what happens. I know on a few of the vehicles that I have worked on, the plugs were a little sloppy and needed pressure applied to work (they would move around and not make good contact). Post what happens, so we can help you further, if this does not work.
