Default cold startup sux, just dies??

Really, i used to be able to start my car even in the cold, and it would just idle rough, but warm up and run good, now it start pretty easy, but then idles down and dies, it does this 2-3 times in the morning? i can run codes but its cold outside, tps isnt very old, but its a cheapazz autozone one,,,,,any opinions? thnx

Sounds like a sticking EGR valve.

thnx, the egr is an autozone one too, i have a used motorcraft still good i might throw on, but i have an h-pipe, and i dont think any smog stuff hooked up?

naw... egr is good i checked it, i did however, break a vacuum thing, off the smog thing by the passenger side head, coming from the smog pump, but SP is bypassed, and i have an o-r h-pipe.

Is your broken vacuum thingy attached to a vacuum source?

How did you determine that the EGR was not at fault?

Put on some long underware and go pull the codes!!!

Lol, yea, actually now, its hot outside, dang tx weather anyway, it runs fine once warmed up, the egr? lol, i took off the vacuum line and put my mouth on it and created suction lmao! sheesh and it started to die, so it is working, since my t.p.s is from autozone, im gonna test voltage, car is running rich with 160 stat, and i just put some 9mm motorsport wires, maybe i should reset timing, everything is tuned up? im gonna get codes tommorow after work, since its not cold anymore thnx though.....
