I was at a very well known, reputable, respected Mustang shop today having some work done to my GT. The owner and I were talking about such kits like the Holley Systemax, for example. I told him I wanted to keep my car a daily driver as it is my sole method of transportation. He was recommending items like the Cobra or Edelbrock Performer intakes and TFS heads. He isn't a big advocate of the kits, though he doesn't deny they might just work as evidenced by some of the guys on this site. There was a guy there with a '95 GT/T-5 making 300 rear wheel horsepower with a Cobra intake, iron GT40 heads, and a small cam. Goes to show that we all tend to look for brand name stuff and here's a car running quick on parts you could find lying around in most Mustang shops. He also said that with EFI, like carbs, bigger is not better, i.e: a Trick Flow or Performer RPM manifold is too much intake for a basically stock motor with bolt ons. Knowing the cars he puts out, and you've all seen them in magazines, I believe him.
