which computer is best?
 

for performance which computer is better? the hardtop 5-speed or the convertible 5-speed EEC IV?

If I remember correct that computer with the code A9L was the most aggressive computer, but they are all relatively the same. You might see .2 sec difference between different computers.

Oh, btw, two tenths is a huge gain, especially for just a computer. You spend what, $50 for a junkyard computer, pickup 2 tenths (20hp). That's great power for money ratio.

actualy the 5speed computers have the more agressive fuel/timing and i just picked up a consistent tenth by switching my A9p to an A9L.also any computer works in any transmission combo.

evilstang is correct. the auto computers have something different in the idle setting due to the torque converter. there is a load on the auto car when in drive and idling, there is no load on a 5 speed car when the clutch is in or in neutral. that is the only difference in the computers as far as I know.
