Question Which Computer Should I Be Running?

converted over to mass air and bought a computer from a buddy. It was an A9L, and it didn't work once installed. He brought me over an A9S computer and said it was for an automatic but will work just like the A9L, is this true? Also I had a chip burned from superchips that was for the A9L computer will it work with the A9S? Should I tell him to get me an A9L to work with my combo? Any help on this matter would be great.

Hi, I didn't think I would find anyone on here close to me. You're just a few miles down the road. Bye

It will work just the same with either computer. The chip will work fine as well. I've heard that the automatic computer has a different fuel curve, but not sure on that. It shouldn't matter if you have a chip for it though.

I just swithced from my stock Cobra computer to an A9L as it is more aggressive, etc. I had problems until I bought the matching Mass Air Sensor electronics(it is the small black thing that sits atop the mass air meter, has 2 screws & 1 electrical connector) & now my car runs perfectly. try getting the new electronic piece for the mass air from your friend, a local junkyard or speedshop mechanic & I bet you'll be fine! Later!
