confused about how alternator brackets mount

I feel dumb for asking this but I totally forgot how my alternator brackets mount on the engine. I have the old V-groove style setup. There are two pieces that make up the alternator brackets.
One is a triangle shaped piece and the other is a banana shaped piece that allows for adjustment of the alternator belt.

Does anyone have a picture of the front of their engine that shows how these brackets mount?
I just got my new engine in and I'm in the middle of hooking everythnig back up.

The V shaped piece goes on the water pump with the hole for the alt. lining with hole in cyl. head there is also a long spacer that goes with the long pivot bolt. the adj arm mounts off the wp also, whic hhole I dont remember but it need to line up wit h the alt and not intefer with the cooling blades of the alt.

I think I know what you are saying.
Do both brackets share one of the same bolt holes that mount to the water pump? Kind of like overlapping each other?

If someone had a picture, that would be great?

brackets

I thought the 302...351w setup was similar. If I am right, then the two brackets do not overlap each other.

If you do not figure it out in the next few days...I will post a picture of mine, but it is in the body shop back home...will take me a while to get the the pic.

Ford made a lot of different bracket setups over the years. It doesn't matter if you have the same brackets as I do just as long as I can get an idea how they go.
I know this should be a simple thing to figure out but I'm not good with puzzles....LOL

If all else fails, do it backwards ... put the brackets on the alternator and just hold it down into position, if you get it that close you should be able to see pretty close where they are gonna want to mount.
