Default fuel pump problem

i'm having a fuel pump problem... my fuel pump only pumps gas while starting. when the key falls back to the on position, the fuel pump stops... the car will start, and run for a few seconds, because of the gas being pumped when starting, but then it dies. i am sure of the problem. just not why its happining or how to fix it. HELP!

It's your ignition switch. Needs to be replaced.

The ignition switch has a few contacts - don't think that just because one works that they all do. Take PKWUDs advice. If that doesn't do it, then it might be the EEC computer. Start with the simpler and cheaper stuff first.
