Default Converting to Carb

I'm in the process of coverting to carb. I have pretty much everything I need except the throttle linkage. I'm trying to find one from an early 80's model but Ford cant get it. I may try to find one in a junk yard if worst comes to worst. What did all you other guys who have converted do for this?

Thanks, Any help is greatley appreciated

I haven't done this swap but i do know the 85 mustang gt are carb'd so you might be able to find one from one of those years.

lockar, a company that makes stuff like linkages and kicdown cables , will have what you need. i got one from them for my 83 when i went to a high rise single plane intake and 351w. the stock linkage would not reach anymore. and they are adjustable. trim and fitr to your application. the instructions on how to do that is included. that is what the hot rodders use in there custom applications.
