Converting standard doors into T-top doors.....

Who has done this by using standard doors and cutting off the frame??? Does the window work or will it need to be swapped for a t-top window?? Also where do you cut the frame??

Or will convert doors work?? My doors need a little TLC and plus I like the newer molding and mirrors placement fron the 87-93 verts.... Also does anyone know if the verts came with manual windows??Any info on this would greatly apprecitated....

You can e-mail me the info if needed Thanks.....

I always wondered if that would work myself. I have an 82GT T-top and it looks like they just cut a standard door frame off at the factory. Vert doors will also work too.
But yeah, I bet cutting the frame off would work.

If I am not mistaken, that is how doors for convertibles are made. Although I kind of remember once reading that something inside the door had to be modified to allow the window to raise a little higher than it does in the frame.
