Looks good. One question: Are you going to have a PCV valve? if you do, you're gonna have a hard time with the idle, as well as a lean idle condition.

Yea gonna have a PVC valve,, that open filter is just on ther for now. It really doesn't fit, I just had it on there testing it. The cap that goes on there is the chrome one that comes with the valve covers. Kinda like the stock one bit chrome with the blus oil sticjker on it. I just had that one on there for the pics and to test the way it fit....

You're good.

I was just checking.

You know, trying to head off a problem before it happened. Force of habit.

Take care,
~Chris

Are open elements like that not good? i have one but i still have all the hoses hooked up otherwise. Ive never had any problem with it before. This is probably a stretch but could that be what is causing my misfire? At least may have led to it? Probably not but im just guessin lol.

Nice engine btw man. I want to build myself one of those one of these days.

Looks good... what was your motivation behind painting the motor red/orange? Makes me think 'Chevy'

Regardless, it still looks good bro.

A MAF engine with a functioning PCV system, and open breathers is not a good idea. You are allowing unmetered air into the combustion chamber. It's exactly the same as having a vacuum leak.

Take care,
~Chris

I painted it red because the car will be white and red when painted, plus the interior is red, so I just brought the red into the engine bay. The paint is plasti-kote Ford red...

As for the main support it was on the motor when I got it. Panhandle Performance built the motor and installed the support. I guess the support is what ever brand they prefer...
