Wink Custom MAF

Just an idea I have, but would it be possible to get a larger mass air meter from a Ford with 19lb injectors and simply bolt it onto a 5.0L?
I mean the ECC will still have a calibrated MAF and the original 19lb injectors and the new MAF would supposedly provide the correct load and not 'peg' at 5.00 Volts. Right?

Did Ford ever make any vehicles with a larger than 55mm MAF with 19lb injectors?

Just a thought!

I had a 70mm meter from a "Cobra" that is now on my brother's 89LX. From what I was told the calibration is standard 19lb, because the computer was calibrated for the 24lb in the Cobra. So far its worked great.

Well I think your idea would wrk but personally I would look at getting the C&L 76mm ($219) you would pay more then that for a FORD meter indeed. Then when you do need to upgrade injectors it will only cost you $24 for the sample tube to re-calibrate the meter. The 76mm has worked very well for me, I don't miss my 75mm Pro-M at all.
