![]() I HAVE HEARD THAT THE 73 MM C&L WITH 19 LB INJECTOR SAMPLE TUBE WILL MAKE THE CAR RUN LEAN UNDER PART THROTTLE TAKE OFF. ALSO THAT IT WILL MAKE THE CAR BACKFIRE THROUGH THE INTAKE SOMETIMES BECAUSE OF THE LEAN CONDITION. IS THIS TRUE????????

![]() I had one on my 88GT(sold it) for about 3 1/2 years. Never had a problem.... Plus when I swapped to bigger injector's it was a snap and plus it was cheaper. Didn't have to send the MAF off to get it recalibrated, just put the new sample tube && off I went... I liked the C&L 73mm... When I convert my 86 to MAF I am getting the new 76mm C&L.....

![]() back fire through the intake that would be bad.
timing has more to do with that than leaning out and the computer will compensate for that by upping the duty cycle. i have a 73 CL and the only problem ive had with it was the max of 38LBS injectors but somone was telling me that a 3rd party had larger sample tubes for it. ------------------ 89 with 395 single stage n2o .garret t3. 373's Suspention worked out finnaly . need cage . |

![]() On a fairly stock mustang, you won't even feel the difference. But if your going to get a new Mass air, get a C&L76mm, if your going to buy one , why not get the best?
