Cool

Yeah my 305 makes about 450 hp, oh yeah.

Seriously some people just don't get it. Lots of guys on the Chevelle site gave me a hard time when I got my Stang, maybe they were afraid my daily driver would be faster than their car??

Lots of guys not just Chevy people will talk tons of crap about their engine usually they have absolutely no idea what they are talking about. Even among Chevy people a 307 is less regarded than even a 305, some guys will spend a ton of money on a 307 or 305 just to be stupid and have a fast motor that is slower and cost more than a good 350.

340 hp on a 350 is super easy, the 350 HO is 330 hp out of the crate, the ZZ4 is 355 hp out of the crate, lots of 400+ HP 350's out there. Lots of 300 hp or less 350's with too big of a cam and crappy heads, and Idiot owners too

Oh yeah, that seems like a high price for those heders check with a few catalogs betcha you can buy them new for the same or cheaper.
