Cool Diablo - SuperChip?

Anybody ever heard of the Diablo Chips? I've been told that the company was developed by the 2 guys who started SuperChips. Anyone use it or know anyone who has? Is it a worthwhile $250???

Question

while on the subject of different product names for the same products, i got one for ya too.
I heard that there is an exhaust company called Iceman that was started by one of the creators or engineers from flowmasters. Does anyone know about this?

I seen an ad for the diablo chips about 6 month's ago, I went to the website but it said they wern't available yet. That was the last I had heard or seen of them. I believe Summit sell the Iceman products(not in the mag, only on the website). You might give them a call, see if they can help. Go to www.overboost.com/iceman/ thats the only place I've found anything on Iceman. I could find any exhaust products.

Wink

Plain and simple if its an off the shelf chip, Save your money, If it doesnt allow you to set parameters on a dyno its just a Superchip, ADS, Etc. being manufactuered under a different name. Another $250.00 piece of junk.

Thumbs up

uhhh bull. Diablosport just finished the development of the chips for 5.0Ls I was the first person to order the diablo chip for a 5.0 and got it for $190 (The owner, patrick, gave me a discount. Its not just an off the shelf chip its paremiters can be fully adjusted and works very well with a mass air flow meter. i noticed a big difference after installing the chip as it gave me an easy 2 tenths off my quarter.

Wow, am i glad i checked the board today.

I came too close to buying one of those Superchips today for my 93gt. I'm putting together a street-legal(hopefully) 393 stroker with all the goodies starting next week. the only thing that held me back from ordering the chip was my engine builder telling me that they sent us flat-top pistons instead of dished. what do you suggest for something to keep my computer and performance parts in sync?? I have to get something or the car will run rich as hell.

Cool

Diablo asked me for a list of all my mods.....they supposedly tune the chip to meet your cars needs. One quesion I couldn't answer (that's where you guys come in)......what is the 4 digit code that's in my computer - is it the same for every '90 LX 5.0? Can the dealer tell me? Can I find it online?

Just because they know the parts, doesn't mean they know how the car runs.

I would take it to a dyno that can burn you a chip. They can play with the timing, fuel pressure, and A/F mixture.

I can't see an of the self chip giving you optimum performance.

Pop off the kick panel on the passenger side and take the number off the computer. Why not try a JMS which has swtch chip abilty for street and strip settings, A dyno tune is truly the best way to set up a chip though..

Where would I have to go for a dyno tuned chip....and how much would it cost?
