difference in a gts
i have a 95 gt mustang when i went to the insurance company to get insurance on it she ran the vin number and told me it was a gts and that made my insurance higher than a normal gt. my question is what is the difference in the two and why is my insurance higher. thanks in advance for all replies.

That's weird. I'd think a GTS would cost less to insure. A GTS is basically a stripped down GT. It's kinda like the difference between a Fox body GT and LX. Same motor, less frills. My friend's dad used to have one and it had a 5.0L (it was a '95) but no foglights, spoiler, etc.

Yea back in 95 when I was looking at buying a Mustang the dealship told me that exact thing that the GTS was the striped down GT and would be cheaper on insurance.
