Default intake runner ?'s

O.k, I have a question on why longer runners on a intake are better for low end power on every motor I can think of except the lt1. The lt1 has little or no runners at all but still makes all it's power before 6000rpm. If you put a intake like that on one of our motors you better be shifting at 7500rpm and above. It's not just a GM thing either. The ls1 has long runners, the old pile 305's had long runners, almost every fuel injected motor I think of has long runners except the lt1. Anyone know why the lt1 can pull this off?
