Question Dipstick problems w/ headers

Anyone running BBK headers? how do you secure the dipstick to the header bolt? Mine won't fit and is just hanging around the engine bay and is pretty loose in the pan socket. Any ideas?

I have BBK equal lengths and the dipstick mounts fine. You just have to push the bracket over the bolt once its threaded a little bit. The bracket will not fit entirely over the bolt unless you open up the hole a little bit, but its enough to more than secure it...

I just took a grinder to the front edge of the mounting bracket, Also bent it a little to clear the headers better.

If you are running the BBK shorty headers you must pull the dipstick out from the side of the block. Then feed the dipstick through the header and then put the dipstick back into the side of the block. Be careful not to bend the dipstick.

I had to grind a bit of the font tab to fit over my MACs (garbage). Just don't get silly and grind too much or you will have to get someone to weld a washer to it.

I cut off one corner of the tab that went over the stud, wedged it under the header bolt and tightened it up. But be careful because I moved the dipstick around a bit too much and have had a small leak from there ever since. It probably just needs to be sealed up with some silicone, but it's a pain in the @$$ anyway.

I have the same headers on my car and why would you want to go cutting at a brand new pair of headers. The dipstick will pull right out of the motor. Feed it right on through and stick the dipstick back in. Thats all there is to it takes about 2 minutes.

I didn't cut or grind headers - the tab on the dipstick tube that fits under the header bolt won't fit between the bolt and the header. I ground off the front of the tab on the dipstick so it would fit.
