Ford caps use to be BLUE, before they went to gray.

Jeez, I haven't heard of Blue Streak ignition products in 40-50+ years. Are they still around? We used to use Blue Streak truck coils along with Mallory dual point distributors in our hopped up flat head Fords back in the mid-fifty's. Also used their breaker points in that same era. They were quality products then. I had forgotten all about them until now.

Rev,

You're dating yourself here. I'm pretty sure the "Blue Streak" brand is still around.

Wow Rev! Talk about dating yourself like Gearhead said! LOL You used to play with flatheads? WOW! Although pretty awesome, I haven't seen an actual running flathead in years.

Anyways, back to the blue cap. Most Autozone's have 3 "levels" of quality. High end on ditzy caps is Conrad, which are red. Middle level is Motorcraft which is gonna be gray. Low end, is "Valuecraft" which I THINK are now gray, but they were still blue about 6 months ago.

Maybe give a couple places a call, have them yank it off the shelf and take a peek at it.
