Default MSD distributor

Thanks for all of the help on timing. I am thinking of replacing the stock duraspark distributor and module with a MSD using a self contained module. The MSD says there is a 3 wire pickup, but my stock module has 4 wires? Any help?
Also, has anyone recurved a stock duraspark? We looked thru various catalogs and cannot find a spring-weight set for that model.
Thanks,
