Question Ditching the airbag???

Does this make any sense? A friend of mine told me it isn't tought to take it out, and that I'd save about 25lbs. First off I don't think it'd be that easy to take out, and 2nd, I can't see it being that much of a weight savings. What do you guys think?

I wouldn't take it out unless you needed to squeeze every bit out of your car.

unless you are VERY familiar with the operation of an air bag and their proper removal, i would recommend you NOT touch it, they can be VERY dangerous!!

They looser that stole and trashed my 91 Hatch took off the airbag and replaced it with a 89 ish tilt wheel collumn. The reason, you can sell the airbag for some good cake, and he had several taken apart mustangs in his back yard so in went the tilt column.
