![]() Here's the deal. Got the stang 30K ago and love it. Going overseas for 3 years and decided to check the clutch to make absolutely sure it wasn't going to give me probs over there.
The damn cat back was welded on. Cut it. Header bolts at collectors ALL SORTS OF RUSTED. Couldn't even see threads on the bolts. Broke them off. Pulled headers once clutch and tranny out. (clutch fine by the way ![]() So now here I am. Two good clutches and the car in approximately 100 peices, and rusted out headers. I found a set of stock headers that are moderately better but not much better. Wife said as long as it's all out now, why not upgrade the headers since we were going to do it anyway. I have a mostly stock setup, and am worried about exhaust leaks. Should I : 1) Put the stock headers back on 2) Equal length headers 3) Unequal length Plans in the future include complete exhaust and engine swap. Thanks for your input, Rob

![]() it depends on if your going to use the new headers for the new motor. If you are, then go ahead and get a set of long tubes. If you opt not to have long tubes then I would go with the unqual length. I always try to find an excuse to upgrade parts, but if you budget is tight now, then just use the stock ones untill you get the new motor built.

![]() I went with the MAC HTS coated equals after internet research. I won't be going wild with a new engine for at least 3 years. They'll be here soon!
Mods this month: Pioneer CD player New 3.27's 6 piece headlight kit New (not needed) clutch MAC equal length headers
