![]() I have a BONE stock 5-speed 90 GT. The original ower was my cousin who changed the shocks & struts at 40k miles. The car now has 110k and I want to replace some suspension parts. I'm interested in FMS-B springs ($135), KYB GR-2 shock/struts ($160), and a PST Polygraphite front end kit ($190).
Please note that my car is a daily driver and never sees any tack time. I want to improve handling and maybe get a little bit of a lower ride, but not sacrifice reliability, am I on the right track? I considered FMS-C springs but I drive in NYC and I think it would be way to bumpy. Any experience with the PST kit? Any positives/negatives? Also, would I need any other suspension parts during this rebuild, that are NOT included in the PST kit? Do you think caster/camber plates will be necessary? As of now with the stock suspension, I have highy abnormal front inner tire wear on both sides, 2 alignments didnt help at all. My front tires pretty much need replacing now, after only 15k miles. Would be nice to fix this problem in the process. Please advise. -Chris grech@att.net |

![]() I have no knowledge about FMS springs, but I am fairly fimilar with Eibach springs. I ran the pro sport 2" drop for a while and loved it.
I currently have the KYB front struts and would recoment them for a daily driver. Since my car is now a track car, I'm going to get lakewood 90/10. I would stick with a 70/30 combo for your street car. I have polyurethane bushings on every point in the front and back of my suspension. They make the handling a lot better. I have the front and rear sway bars from PST, if your interested in buying them from me, e-mail me (cyberstang50@yahoo.com) If you change the ride height of the car (front or back) then you will have to get the caster/camber plates. Mine are from Steeda. These will help your tire wear. If it wearing abnormaly, then it's the fault of your front alignment or tire pressure. Tires should be at 35psi, but you already knew that. If you want to improve handling, look into getting these parts. The parts that I have are in prenthsis ()... subframe conectors with seat supports (Steeda), lower control arms (BBK), bigger sway bars (PST), strut tower brace, tracktion bars may help but I have only seen them on drag cars (lakewood) . Hope this helps ya out... ![]() |

![]() Thanks for the info Cyberstang. I just want to replace the stock suspension with a little bit of a performance boost, like I said, this car will never see track time. I plan on keeping the car stock, so I don't want to drop it as much as 2". Any one else have info on the PST polygraphite front end kit, FMS B or C springs, and KYB shocks/struts?

![]() If you are going to lower your car. Go with Eibach and Tokico adj struts and shocks. I have KYB GR-2 struts and shocks and would not recommend them. They were good for a few months of smooth driving. Now they are only a little better than my worn out OEM struts and shocks.
