Do You Have 4cyl Springs On Your 5.0? If So, Please Help Me With Some Questions.
With 4cyl springs, stock controll arms, and shocks, bolth sway bars, sub frames, how sloppy would the suspension be?
I dont corner hard, or anything like that, and i would like them as i frequently visit the drag strip in the summer. Do you have any pictures of how your 5.0 sits with the 4cyl springs in? If i pulled the sway bar, how much looser would this make the car? Could i still use it as my daily driver? What kind of 60ft differences would these springs make with subframes, and removed front sway bar? Thanks |
I have 4 cyl springs in the rear and it sits at stock height. I noticed on hard launches that the rear squats more :D That's good for weight transfer... I have not taken my pony to the track since I put them on.
I have a set of drag strings for the front. I know that the 4 cyl springs are not strong enough to support your V8 so I would not recomend them. If you do put them on, it will "lower" your front. If you pulled your sway bars out, it will help your 60' times but your handling will be crap. I recomend that you only take them off when you are at the track. Get rid of your rear all together. I suggest getting BBK lower controll arms with adjustiable uppers. I am running them now and I like the way they help grip. |
4cyl springs
I have them on my car and it handles just fine ,the nose will drop about a 1 1/2 .I have a 4 cyl sway bar on the front and I have the rear in place also.I run southsides on the back and 90/19's and 50/50's it gets great traction on the street (hehe) and the track!
