![]() The other night I missed a shift and when i looked down the stock tach said 6 grand. that was as high as it got. Before ever doing that, the needle on the stock temperature guage (1993 LX 5.0) used to point directly at the line just below the middle line and run there all the time. Now it runs at the middle line and sometimes halfway between the middle line and the next one higher. It's not overheating or making noises, running rough, etc. I just want to know why missing a shift could have done that. I have stock cooling system throughout, including thermostat. Any reason why missing that shift could have caused that? I doubt it damaged the water pump by spinning higher ( i have a 25% underdrive crank pulley) and i dont see what the problem is. whats up?
