Default Will A Throttle Body Do Much For Ya With Minor Mods?

I WAS OFFERED A GREAT DEAL ON A MAC 70MM THROTTLE BODY. I HAVE STRAIGHT PIPES AND K&N, WITH THE MODIFIED AIR SILENCER... WHAT WOULD THIS REALLY DO FOR ME? AND PLUS I JUST READ AN ARTICLE A NEW 80MM THROTTLE BODY. ABOUT HOW MUCH HP WILL YOU RECIEVE FROM THIS MOD? AND IS IT TRUE THE MORE MODS YOU DO,... THE BETTER PERFORMANCE YOU'LL SEE OUT OF YOUR NEW THROTTLE BODY? THANKS

You'll see no gain from a throttle body on a near-stock setup...

A set of pullies would give you some horses.
If you're set on upgrading the induction, an MAF would be a better choice than a T/B....

T/B is throttle body

MAF is Mass Air Meter

Air comes into your filter, through the MAF (which gives a volumetric reading of the air coming into the intake), and then to your T/B, which passes the air into the intake...

Usually, an induction setup includes your Air Filter, MAF, and all tubing up until the T/B...

If you want to upgade your induction setup, a new MAF would be a wiser choice than a T/B....

MAC makes a cold air induction system, costs more then others, only because of the chromed look. There are a few others out there on the market that don't cost as much but do the exact same thing, just isn't as good to look at. Depends on whats important.

Yes! A throttle body will yield you great gains! Some will say to go with a blower, or nitrous, but you can gain well over 100hp from just a Mac 70mm Throttle body. (check my sig).

Thanks Hammer, that is funny. I feel like I might have to resort to that sometimes.
I am having SO much trouble selling this darn thing. It's only got 500miles on it, I'm only asking 90 for it. Mac sells em new for 130! How do they stay in business? It doesnt seem like anyone wants one!!
