i hear of people taking a baseball bat to the inside of the fender, seems like the easiest fix to me.

well working without a hammer, using a bat i got it to where it only rubs when i take a right turn, but now i think thats the PB cable, the exhaust pipe on the pass side is real close, but it doesnt seem to be chewing rubber off right now, i would hate to ruin these tires since i paid alot of money...thnx any other advice welcome, waiting on my dad to get home so i can get a hammer.

My 275/60/15's on my 15x8 draglites only rub a little bit on real sharp bumps when im cruising along pretty fast. All i did was roll the outside lip with a hammer. Hope this helps.

well i dont think the outside lip is a problem, i guess i should look into it anyway, once i get a good hammer i should solve it, might have to re-weld one of my exhaust pipes to clear the tire better, right now im more concerned about the inside well area......thnx for the replies, thinking i should have got 235's now

Cool

The problem is improper backspacing on the rims. My street tire rims do the same thing. I have 3 1/2" studs, so I made a set of 3/8" thick alum spacers that I put on before the rim and tire go on. I run 275-60-15s. If changing to a longer studs is OK, it is cheaper than a set of rims. Once you clear the inside problems, you will get the outside ones, then you get the bat. Don't give up, and remember "Big tires go faster"

88workcar, you are so helpful to everyone here, im thinking a backspacing also, how did you make them? what about washers? probaly unsafe if im not knowing what im doing, im still not done beating on it, my dad has a good hammer to use, but a cold front blew in here, and i dont want to mess with it no more tonight, im not used to cold weather

It is alright to drive for now, long as im easy on taking turns, gosh this really bites, i was fixing to take my car to a friend, to weld up my torque boxes, now i have to address this clearence problem first....thnx for help.

Why thank you coupe. Mine are simply cut in a circle with a hole in the middle then drilled for the bolt holes. A doughnut with 4 holes in it.

Cool, well do you think i can just buy some spacer's? i dont want too much though, then my wheels will stick out far and look stupid. today i put my little sister in my car, she's light, but the wheels rubbed worse, and on both sides, i wish i would have known before i bought these. i like them though, i left 2 nice stripes out in front my house
