From what I gather, it is a crap-shoot on gambling with axles. Some of them break running 14's and some hold up running 11's. If you're worried about it, then don't do it. If you want to break under 2.0 in your 60' times, then you'll almost have to get better tires. Changing from 2.73 to 3.73 gears and adding Mickey ET streets dropped mine from 2.2's to 1.9's. After doing some more work on the car, I'm in the 1.8's now and no problems with the axles. Other's are running a lot lower 60's than that with stock axles so you would probably be ok. I'm sure there is the chance you've got a Mon. morning or Fri. afternoon made axle that might not be up to standard, but don't we all.
