Post drilling firewall?

I am installing an oil pressure gauge and water temp gauge where can i drill to get them through to the engine compartment??
nothing on passenger side, only can see through on drivers side. I'm putting them in the center ac vents.

If I remeber correctly I just used a long screw driver I pushed it through the gorment(sp?). I think it was the clutch cable or speedo. I have three wires running throught mine and no drilling works great.

I am using mechanical gauges, need a big hole for the temp gauge fitting.

pop the grommet out and carefully put a slice in it with a razor. then you can push the water fitting through.
