I've got the Lakewood model as well. I also have the Ford Aluminum driveshaft - it's close, but it doesn't rub.

As for placement, I've got mine a few inches behind the U-joints. I thought that the instructions told you where to put it? Maybe I'm wrong though as it's been a long time since I installed my loop.

As I recall, the curvature of the braket matches up with the underside of the car so that you have a pretty good idea where it goes. Otherwise, it doesn't seem to seat properly on the body. Does this make sense?

Good luck,
E

Hurry up with that install. I want to know what your car runs. With good weather and a good launch you should see 12.9's. Those heads love timming. And what are you going to set your fuel at? I turned mine down to 45 and it runs like a raped ape. It is freaking great. Take it easy man. Let us know what she runs.

Oh, that sucks. Well, I can't wait to hear what it has. The timming sounds good, I don't think I would run octain booster though, not unless you are thinking about bumping the timming up some more. It would help you a lot if you got a fuel pressure guage. I thought my car would need about 50lbs of fuel, but I read and saw people getting the most hp with 42-45 so I stayed conservitive with the pressure since I don't know how lean or rich I am. Take it easy man. It should tear up all. Talk to you later man.
