Dyno numbers and a few questions
Well I got my car dyno'd at Street Flight LLC in Phoenix today, and had a great time! Granted I don't have many mods right now, so I wanted to set this as my baseline for when I do more mods to the car. I guessed that I would put out about 209 at the wheels, and my best run was 207.0 rwhp @ 4550rpm and 279.7 @ 3600rpm. I knew the car always felt like it ran out of steam close to 4800. Is this normal, or is there something possibly wrong with the motor? The lines for both the torque and hp look great, no real jagged or high and low points. I held my torque at about 270-279 between 3000-3600. Overall I had a great time and can't wait to add more stuff to go do this again. One last question though. I got my best numbers at 9* timing. That didn't seem right to me, but thats the way it worked out. I was getting a lot of black smoke and pinging at 12* and 11* seemed to work pretty good too, only short 2hp at 11*. Any reason for this? Sorry for the long post, just wanted to share my excitement for the day and see what people thought.
