Post DYNO results, and questions

Well, went to the dyno with the local Mustang club. A little disappointed with the results but anyway here they are:
287rwhp@5500rpm
306rwtq@4500rpm
I have a march ram air which added 3mph to my quater, it will not have an effect on the dyno, how much power is 3mph.
Second what should i shift at, normally I have been shifting at 5600rpm should I move up the shift light.
Thanks
Mike

You should definitely be shifting closer to 6 grand. What type of dyno was this?

What size injectors do you have? What is your fuel pressure set to? Have the stock fuel pump?

How did you setup the march ram air so that it actually didnt smash off on every curb or low spot?

Cool

I don't think you're too far off your ideal shift rpm. Based on your dyno, I'd shift at 5750...no more than 6G.

It was on a dynojet248.
I have stock injectors, 190lb pump and fuel was set at 40psi.
Sky, I attached it as far back from the front air dam as possible. I have the DECH kit on my car, I just have to be real careful on curbs, bumps etc. You have great dyno numbers, are they on a dynojet. With my trap 3mph higher than yours and a similar weight (i'm guessing) I thought I was going to break 300 at the wheels.
I will try some various shift points next time at the track.
Oh well time for more mods.

Yeah... Hmm...

Well I dynoed on a Mustang Dyno. I put down 293rwhp on my first pass, which I think maybe my real HP. After his so called tuning I jumped to 332rwhp. They both peaked at 5500rpm which seems fine to me.

But he leaned my car out to 25psi fuel pressure on 24 lb injectors.

And my car felt no faster at all afterwards.

I just recently closely exaamined my dyno graphs, and I think I got screwed. The guy is now out of business though. It looks as if my car peaks HP but at 4900rpm! Thats why at the track the lower and lower I shifted it the more MPH I would gain. Im going to add more fuel pressure again and more timing back when I go back to the track and see what happens.

Theres more details, but it would just take forever to go into them.

Also my 107.4mph was made on slicks w/ 10psi, which is about 2 mph there, and I found aftwards the rims my slicks were on are grinding the **** outta my brakes. They have huge cuts in em, so who knows how much MPH that is worth.

The track will really tell, Im kinda fed up with dynos.
