Default Question ON INTAKE MANI

Hey guys, ok I got my stang up and running again, now here is a question, I'm looking for a decent street manifold, the car is an everyday driver "88 5.0 t5 lx. I've used edelbrock manifolds on OLDS v8s and my chevy v8. How good is the Edelbrock EFI 5.0 manifold compared to the rest of the market? I was looking at the Performer which is idle to 5500 rpm so I'm looking for the same. No loss in gas mileage but some more get up and go.

The edelbrock performer is a great NA street intake. But a little pricey IMO

I'd suggest one from the line of the GT40/Cobra/Explorer.

I highly recomend the Explorer if you are on somewhat of a bidget. I picked mine up for $150 from a gracious MW member and have been happy with it from day 1

I second the motion for the Explorer intake. Its a great N/A intake. I use to have a Cobra intake and I actually like the performance of the Explore better.

Default intake manifold

I run the Edelbrock manifold w/ a 1/2" plenum spacer and love it. I don't know how much they run brand new because I got mine used from a friend. I also run the Edel. Performer RPM alum. heads #6025, w/ a B-303 & 1.72 rollers...it makes for a great combination and is very streetable!

I was looking up the explorer intake and found that it uses the exact same lower as the cobra, but the upper is slightly different, the biggest difference from a lx/gt is the 45* angle of the TB. What modifications did you do to make it work?

If it doesn't load copy and paste it in a new window
